The 8th edition of the « EuroScience Open Forum – ESOF» will be held in Toulouse from 9 to 14 July 2018 for the first time in France, under the motto “Sharing Science: towards new horizons”. Dedicated to science, innovation and their relations with society, ESOF 2018 will offer a unique framework for interaction and debate for scientists from all over the world, business people, policy makers, science communicators, and the general public.

This six-day event, which the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées is in charge of running, is supported by multiple European, national and local partners, whether public or private, like the European Commission, the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, the Région Occitanie and Toulouse Métropole.

The sharing of knowledge is at the heart of the event, especially through its science programme which will include numerous seminars, workshops and debates led by world-renowned scientists on the latest breakthroughs in research.

As part of ESOF 2018 science programme, the call for scientific session proposals is open until 23 June 2017 on the website www.esof.eu. Any person or institution can propose sessions, as long as they fall within the framework of ESOF main themes and comply with ESOF requirements, namely interdisciplinarity, high scientific value and European character.
