During the meeting of the "Integration and Collaboration in European Science" Group in Freiburg the importance of spreading electronic news between group members was mentioned. News on science policy in the Eastern and Central European countries were distributed on the more or less regular basis.
The group members were also informed on the launching of calls for research and network proposals by the European Union. An article "Enlarging Europe: through Science and Education" by Jerzy Langer was published in Foresight and electronic version of it was distributed between group members.
It was suggested to prepare a kind of collections of testimonies about the judgements of scientists of various classes of age and various disciplines about science, its management and opportunities in their country. A draft of questionnaire was distributed between members of the group, and many constructive comments were received on how to improve the questionnaire. It is planned to set up a web-page of the group with answers of scientists on the questionnaire.
