The Rammal award is to recognize not only research of the highest quality performed either by a scientist or by a group of scientists working in the Mediterranean region, but also a commitment to make science more accessible or bring its benefits to the population of Mediterranean countries.
The 2015 and 2016 Rammal Medals have been awarded to Professors Oum Kalthoum Ben Hassine and Professor Valérie Delague, respectively. The awards ceremony will be held at ESOF in Manchester on 25 July 2016.
The Rammal medal bears the name of a Lebanese researcher, Rammal Rammal (1951-1991), who devoted his life to advancing science, and fostering good human relations through the pursuit of knowledge, especially in the Mediterranean region. Apply for the Rammal Award 2016 by 3 April.
The call for the 2015 Rammal Award is now open. The deadline for the 2015 call is June 16th, 2015.
