The Science Forum South Africa is inspired by events such as ESOF, AAAS and the Japan Science Agora. SFSA serves as a large, open, public platform for debating the science and society interface.
The European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA) is granted since 2010 to researchers demonstrating outstanding research performance and leadership. It aims to inspire early stage researchers to incorporate a European dimension and perspective into their research. This year’s call is dedicated to PhD candidates.

The Nature Travel Grant Scheme offers journalists from around the world the opportunity to attend ESOF for free. The grant offers complimentary registration as well as help covering travel and accommodation costs.
The Rammal medal bears the name of a Lebanese researcher, Rammal Rammal (1951-1991), who devoted his life to advancing science, and fostering good human relations through the pursuit of knowledge, especially in the Mediterranean region. Apply for the Rammal Award 2016 by 3 April.
