Matthias Girod, Secretary General of EuroScience, together with ESOF2020 Champion Prof. Stefano Fantoni and Donato Ramani from the ESOF2020 communication team participated in the Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Seattle/USA.
ESOF includes a Careers Programme specifically dedicated to the interests and concerns of PhD students, young post-docs and early-career researchers. The interdisciplinary forum provides them with a unique opportunity to meet and engage with leading scientists from fields outside their own speciality.
We urge all EuroScience members wherever they may be, including our many active members living and working in the UK, whether they be UK or EU nationals, or of any other nationality, to sign the #dealforscience petition.
Cactus Communications has announced that it will be offering the winners of the European Young Researcher Award a service package aimed at disseminating their research globally.
Active scientists from any disciplinary background, including exact sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, are eligible. Organisations in any field of science, meeting the criteria, are also eligible.
The CALL for travel grants to ESOF2020 is dedicated to Postdocs working in the field of physics or a related interdisciplinary area, who are based in Germany, irrespective of their nationality.
The CALL for travel grants to ESOF2020 is dedicated to Young Researchers based in Sweden irrespective of their nationality as well as to Swedish nationals studying/working in any European country (as defined by the Council of Europe).
Calls closed for the next ESOF edition in Trieste 5-9 July 2020!
It calls on the UK and EU governments to reach an agreement on scientific collaboration as soon as possible. Should Brexit go ahead, we have to be ready to get the best possible deal for science – and that’s why this petition has to happen now.
ESOF is an excellent opportunity to get immersed in Europe’s largest general science conference, learn about new discoveries in a large number of fields, meet Nobel laureates and young researchers across disciplines. We believe that as many young researchers should be able to participate in ESOF2020 and therefore seek support to make it possible for them to be part of the unique event.
