EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF)

ESOF – EuroScience Open Forum – a platform created by EuroScience, is the biennial pan-European meeting dedicated to scientific research and innovation. At ESOF meetings leading scientists, young researchers, business people, policy makers, science journalists and communicators, and the general public from all over Europe discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in the sciences, humanities and social sciences.

ESOF 2018 was organised in Toulouse, France and a hybrid ESOF 2020 was held in Trieste, Italy. ESOF 2022 will take place in Leiden, Netherlands.

EuroScientist is the online publication of EuroScience. Its motto is: “European science conversations by the community, for the community.”

EuroScientist is a webzine that publishes content at the interface between science, policy and society, on issues that highlight the impact of science that creates a positive change for society, and on topics related to the scientific endeavour and its workforce (such as inclusivity, work-life balance and career advice). EuroScientist also aims to give a voice to the science-based professionals, giving them a space to share their concerns and alert the decision-makers on issues relevant to the future of society and on the threats to research.
