Relaunch of ESOF2020, the largest European conference on science and technology, postponed from July to September due to the Covid-19 pandemic was officially announced on 30 June 2020. With more than 150 sessions and over 700 speakers in an updated programme, including an innovative hybrid format and distinguished international guests, ESOF is more vital and attractive than ever.
New online sessions and themes tied to Covid-19 have been added.
ESOF includes a Careers Programme specifically dedicated to the interests and concerns of PhD students, young post-docs and early-career researchers. The interdisciplinary forum provides them with a unique opportunity to meet and engage with leading scientists from fields outside their own speciality.
The CALL for travel grants to ESOF2020 is dedicated to Postdocs working in the field of physics or a related interdisciplinary area, who are based in Germany, irrespective of their nationality.
The CALL for travel grants to ESOF2020 is dedicated to Young Researchers based in Sweden irrespective of their nationality as well as to Swedish nationals studying/working in any European country (as defined by the Council of Europe).
ESOF is an excellent opportunity to get immersed in Europe’s largest general science conference, learn about new discoveries in a large number of fields, meet Nobel laureates and young researchers across disciplines. We believe that as many young researchers should be able to participate in ESOF2020 and therefore seek support to make it possible for them to be part of the unique event.

Representatives of EuroScience, ESOF2020 local team and ESOF2022 local team met in Trieste for a one-day joint meeting to discuss the organisation of the next ESOF editions.
Another edition of ESOF is over. Hearing the reactions of many participants we believe that ESOF2018 was a success and the Toulouse team can be proud of what has been achieved.
