The vision of EuroScience is a scientific workforce that creates a positive change for society. However, we believe that this vision can only be realised if the professional workforce is as diverse and representative of the society it should serve.
Mr Matthias Girod has been appointed by the EuroScience Governing Board to succeed Dr Peter Tindemans as EuroScience Secretary General. Mr Girod will officially join the EuroScience office in Strasbourg on 2 May 2019.
EuroScience strongly endorses the principles laid down in Plan S for rapid achievement of effective Open Access publication of publicly funded research. They are a good basis for the consultation that is now open and EuroScience intends to actively respond to it.
