Active scientists from any disciplinary background, including exact sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, are eligible. Organisations in any field of science, meeting the criteria, are also eligible.
EuroScience is proud to announce that Dr. Ismail Serageldin is the recipient of the 2018 Rammal Award for his many scientific contributions in economic development and sustainable agriculture for food security in the developing countries as well as for his tireless campaigning for mutual understanding, tolerance, learning and understanding between peoples, religions and nations.
EuroScience is proud to announce that Dr. Zehra Sayers is the recipient of the 2017 Rammal Award for her own scientific contributions and especially wonderful contributions to build the science programme of SESAME.
The Rammal award is to recognize research of the highest quality performed either by a scientist or by a group of scientists working in the Mediterranean region.
The 2015 and 2016 Rammal Medals have been awarded to Professors Oum Kalthoum Ben Hassine and Professor Valérie Delague, respectively. The awards ceremony will be held at ESOF in Manchester on 25 July 2016.
The Rammal medal bears the name of a Lebanese researcher, Rammal Rammal (1951-1991), who devoted his life to advancing science, and fostering good human relations through the pursuit of knowledge, especially in the Mediterranean region. Apply for the Rammal Award 2016 by 3 April.

The Rammal Award 2012 is granted to Prof. Abdeslam Hoummada for his career in Neutrino physics and High Energy particle physics, and the scientific bridges he has built with Morocco and the Middle East.
