EuroScience is very concerned about policies of several governments that undermine key tenets of science: open exchanges of ideas and people. The Executive Order by the US President that prohibits citizens from seven countries, including those having also e.g. a European citizenship, to enter the US jeopardises science and innovation by putting restrictions in place that run counter to core values of the science and education system, is the latest example.

EuroScience has decided to introduce a new accolade in “Recognition of Lifetime Achievements for European Science and Society”. The first recipient of this award is Robert-Jan Smits. Browse through the pictures of this memorable event.
